There is so much we don't understand. I believe (!) that science is very limited. Even more so, I believe (!) that it is developed only through the human qualia filter and thus can never be an appropriate probing of reality. That doesn't go to say that I think it is useless, it's just isn't worth outside of our own, "human realm"...
Aaanyway, back to the hummingbirds. They are literally one of the best creatures alive. They do not harm anyone, they are peaceful pacifists, and everything they do is the cutest ever. Cuter than cats. In my next life, I wish to be a hummingbird. https://www.audubon.org/news/jewels-of-the-sky
I find it fascinating that we cannot trace their evolution correctly (or wholesomely). It makes me wonder and adds a mysterious layer to my thoughts when I ponder about them.

I think our understanding of science is limited but as we learn, we understand more. Sometimes our understanding isn't completely accurate, sometimes we discover something new that creates a new area of science. I think there are many things yet to learn and somethings we simply are not yet capable of learning. :)
They are literally one of the best creatures alive.
They are truly one of the most fascinating and beautiful creatures on the planet.
In my next life, I wish to be a hummingbird.
And with luck, you will find good and kind humans where you are that grow flowers with sweet nectar for you.
