I've been listening to this series for the last week or so. I've learned so much from it and the quality of Sapolsky's character and presentation style is so great that I thought I would share. The course covers a wide array of topics, reviews the various ways that different disciplines have addressed the same topics, and I think some of the focus is on training the student to incorporate the observations from those disciplines in a holistic way.

As a non-biologist, some of the topics that he introduces are quite surprising to me. I had never heard of epigenetics and had no idea that gene expression could be influenced by environment. I think he brings this topic up briefly in the first couple of videos.

It's a little bit difficult to follow the series on YouTube, there doesn't seem to be a playlist for it on Stanford's channel. Luckily they are numbered so there's at least a mechanism for finding the next one as you progress.
