What we're seeing is the public losing its faith in the rule of law. And why shouldn't it? We just elected a felon to the White House. The past couple of years, the Supreme Court has been performing the world's saddest improv routine–that is, when they're not enjoying vacations given to them by billionaires. You'd have to be crazier than Mangione to have much faith in the rule of law right now–Lord knows he hasn't got any.

That Thompson dude sounded like a shithead. Mangione sounds like a nut, but he's a nut who's pissed about some of the same stuff as I am, so I can identify with him a little. I'm not happy with that, but then I don't see sanity prevailing much these days elsewise.

As I've waded through all the cavaliers and pearl-clutchers online, I keep having an intrusive thought: anyone who says violence never solved anything should give up hosting Fourth of July parties.

    Take that as you will.
