No call to action, no path to a better tomorrow, just "America is Terrible". I checked out their channel a bit more, and they look like they're trying to be lefty PragerU, which is interesting, but this video in particular feels aimless. Yes, there's still the "capitalism is bad" messaging, which is on brand for this channel, but not a whole lot of "socialism is good".
None of the information presented in this video is new to me, but it kinda left me with a bad taste in my mouth. It didn't want to make me embrace socialist ideas, it made me want to give up on America.
Yeah, I agreed with most of the points being made and I couldn't even manage to finish watching it. I really hope this style of video doesn't become popular, it's not talked about as much as...
Yeah, I agreed with most of the points being made and I couldn't even manage to finish watching it. I really hope this style of video doesn't become popular, it's not talked about as much as direct misinformation, but weaponized apathy is just as important a tool to the right. It acts as a grounding circuit for progressive sentiment, and that's the sort of thing I see being encouraged by fatalistic critique presented without alternatives.
They're a progressive response to PragerU, not a socialist one, so they're going to stop before giving the solution, because they're against the solution, as well. I don't really think a bunch of...

I don't really think a bunch of millionaires, or Gravel, the politician that said the "tide of socialism" must be stopped, want a real solution, they just want nicer capitalism.
There are a lot of explicitly pro socialist videos on the channel along with numerous explicitly socialist hosts/guests. I think the issue is possibly more an issue of this video's execution than...

I'm glad to see this video getting some attention. It's frustrating how over-represented right-wing media is in all social media spaces. I think it's a mixture of the money behind them and the...

I think one of the more difficult obstacles for progressive policies at this point is in expanding the political will/imagination of the Democratic base and its leaders. The burden of arguing one's position is never pushed onto the centrist who is skeptical of progressive policies. Videos like this serve to dispel the attitude that maintaining the status quo is a neutral position.
