From what I understand, the England v Cameroon match was an absolute shitshow due to the behaviour of the Cameroon team. They were lucky to have finished the game with 11 players remaining, because they deserved at least two red cards for two incidents of elbowing and spitting on a player. Had the referees used VAR more when making their decisions, they would have finished with far fewer players on the pitch.

Thankfully, even if FIFA won't do anything, it seems likely that the Confederation of African Football will take action against Cameroon, especially when their behaviour is an embarrassment to African football.
