It was Allisen's first win, and the first LPGA open at Pebble Beach. A wonderful achievement to see, nice to see an American win it again since its been a few years. I also think its great to see that the winnings are increasing especially in a women's sport.
Sadly I grew up around some men who would say things like...you know what GOLF stands for? Guys only ladies forbidden. So, also growing up to see women achieve in sports and see women get access to clubs houses they previously couldnt go to has been important for me.
