The first half went really quickly, it was pretty wild. The second half was slower, but still really entertaining. It was great to be in Baton Rouge for the game, I'll tell you that!

Jealous! I've never been to Louisiana. I'd like to try the food and see the sights. Being there for such a big event would make it even better. Glad you were able to do something awesome like that!

It's a fun state! The Mardi Gras parades are about to start up so I'm not going to get a free weekend til about Easter, lol. But it's fun year-round!

The parades are a continuous thing, not just for a short time before Mardi Gras? Dang. That place knows how to party!

They begin on Epiphany (January 6) and continue throughout Carnival season, usually on the weekends. New Orleans is where the biggest and oldest ones are held, but there's a ton in a lot of towns all over Louisiana and even MS, AL and TX. Most are fairly family-friendly, at least the ones I've been to; apparently the flashing thing happened in the 80s but it's mostly stopped now.

Parades in Louisiana have ruined me for all other parades for ever. They're not just during Carnival either; BR has a St. Patrick's Day parade that's BONKERS (read: many many day-drunk people) and Christmas and Halloween parades too. Oh and I know New Orleans has an Easter parade; there's probably a lot of others too.

There's even a website with all the parade schedule in Nola and environs: https://www.mardigrasneworleans.com/parades/

This doesn't even include Baton Rouge!

The flashing thing has stopped? Wouldn't know that from the way it's portrayed in media. Imagine that, media misrepresenting something. Nice to hear that it's family friendly, though. I prefer...

Now I really want to see a parade in Louisiana. I should start an actual bucket list.

Come on down, any time! The people here are great and fun to be around.
