Ugh. It was announced by upper management that their "strategy" for giving workers pay raises doesn't take inflation into account, for various nonsensical reasons. As a result of that, I've worked out that while my salary is decent, it's technically less than when I started two years ago. I've been sending out resumes all around and actively looking for a new job, scheduling interviews and scanning job boards, hoping to find something decent.

I've been busy... With things I had no intention of doing but my brain decided now was the time to do them anyway.

I run a Pathfinder game, and there was a huge mess over the past few weeks where, for a variety of reasons, we lost three players. Now, this isn't nearly as bad as it could be. See, I'd already been way overdoing it with a team of 6. Trimming one or two out was honestly a good thing. The way this happened was not pleasant, but regardless. Three? Too many to lose. So I invited a new player to fill in. The past week has been me helping them craft their new character, followed by realizing a custom magic item crafting system I'd created to speed up the process and make it more realistically flavored was basically only ever effective if a primary caster used it, so I completely remade it from scratch and built a small autosheet to calculate the magic item crafting process so the players wouldn't get confused by it (it was originally pretty simple, then I added a feature where the more you craft, the more spells you have to use up in the process- based on how many spells you actually have available, and only added because the players agreed it should be there- and it got much more complicated), then I set my sights on the main crafting function and added some bonus features there in further homebrew... In short, I did a whole bunch of stuff that I wasn't planning on doing this week.

Meanwhile, the stuff I was supposed to be doing has remained resolutely not done.
