It was an utter shitshow of an ordeal getting out of Texas and we're still living out of boxes, but that should change very soon as painter's will be here tomorrow. We'll give the paint another day or so to fully cure, then the Un-packening will begin. My wife is especially ready for it as she's been working out of the living room off TV trays and the coffee table as the basement is entirely her "lady cave" but the previous owners painted it olive drab green for some damn reason and that's just not going to work even temporarily as a space she wants to be in.

The house itself is cute as hell, a century old, extremely well maintained, tastefully updated in key areas without removing character or charm and kept a ton of the original fixtures, interior hardware, etc. There's some minor stuff we're going to change, but nothing all that big of a deal, just choices made by the previous owner(s) that we aren't fans of.

Question: Anyone have any experience with/suggestions regarding a ceiling mount projector? The living room really only has one place (above the fireplace) for a screen and 1. I've become less and less pleased with my Roku TV's performance over the last couple of years (getting slower by the week) 2. I don't think it'll fit in the little fireplace alcove area anyway 3. It honestly would look out of place to have a screen there and I was already looking at ways to hide a screen behind a one-way mirror before I remembered projectors exist. So thinking of putting in a ceiling projector, possibly connected to a Chromecast, for whatever living room watching occurs.
