What did you do this weekend?
As part of a weekly series, these topics are a place for users to casually discuss the things they did — or didn't do — during their weekend. Did you make any plans? Take a trip? Do nothing at all? Tell us about it!
Saturday started early with carefully pulling the engine, 4WD transmission, and exhaust out of the Tercel in order to keep old plastic wiring connectors/plugs (typically notorious for being fragile in the constant heat cycling of an engine bay, but mine were oddly resilient and I only broke one) in good condition. So now it'll be time to bust out the power washer and remove the 1/4 - 1" thick sludge that's present on the driver side of the transmission along with working on the engine bay wiring to prepare for the Big Block swap. The rest of Saturday was spent moving the new racecar to my friend's house, removing the transmission, exhaust, and nearly all of the interior (dash remains) from it.
Sunday was planned as the swingset/playground disassembly, move, and reassembly day, but a cold front that dropped the temps around here to blustery, rainy 40F day put the kibosh on that and we've rescheduled to next week. So we played Cyberpunk 2077 instead for most of the day.
