What did you do this weekend?
As part of a weekly series, these topics are a place for users to casually discuss the things they did — or didn't do — during their weekend. Did you make any plans? Take a trip? Do nothing at all? Tell us about it!
Not a damn thing. Record breaking temps, snowfall, and for the first time ever the entire state of Texas is under a winter storm warning.
Technically, I got out Saturday to do the grocery shopping as all possible timeslots of delivery were taken, and met up with a nice eastern European lady from Craigslist to purchase gas fireplace logs so I didn't keep burning wood if the fireplace proved necessary (had planned to do so for some time, just hadn't actually gotten around to it until I checked CL when planning on running errands).
Other than that it's just been occasionally going outside to take pictures in the snow with my wife or the animals. Hank has always been an inside cat, but he loves trying to run outside and "go on an adventure". I take carry him around outside from time to time so he can look and sniff stuff and he enjoyed the snow for a moment, but had zero interest in going out again later. He's a runt and likes to be close to you to "be a part of things", but doesn't actually like to be touched so one carrying session in the cold was enough. Irwin is a "tough street cat" that we adopted when he arrived underneath by buddy's pickup truck after a harrowing ride on the highway. Being that he's extremely lucky to have found us, he has zero interest in going outside and so just plopped his big butt on the heating pad and gave his typical cute/clueless stare.
