    Unfortunately, the patent system has a big problem with Non-Practicing Entities, companies which buy (often over-broad and generic) patents, do not build anything useful with the patent, and file aggressive lawsuits. The US patent office is looking to make some rules that would make it more difficult to get these entities' invalid patents actually invalidated.
