I've found Sam's explainers to be extremely intuitive and helpful in understanding complex topics. Even as a software/security professional, my exposure to hashes has mostly been rote memorization (don't write your own hashing algorithms, this is better than that) and I never developed an intuitive understanding of how hashing algorithms work and what makes one better than another.
The visual style and interactive segments are also great for retaining my attention as someone with ADHD :)
