DBFH is "the Internet's longest running charity marathon." For seventeen years now, they've fundraised on behalf of Child's Play Charity for children who live in hospitals and in shelters for victims of domestic violence.
The event runs continuously, 24h/day on their twitch channel for an expected period of roughly one week. During this time, unpaid volunteer entertainers play games, do contests and comedy bits, take challenges from chat for songs, dances, readings, etc. and call-ins from guests while simultaneously raffling and auctioning various game culture and pop culture related items donated by sponsors or made throughout the year by unpaid volunteer crafters.
Every year it's a really good time with a great community, so for the new users who weren't aware of the event I thought I'd mention it here. We've been breaking $1mil USD every year since 2020 and this year it's a given that we'll exceed $10mil USD lifetime total. All money goes directly to Child's Play with no operation costs unless otherwise mentioned. Hope folks from here would like to join in and (if you can) donate (responsibly).

Crazy how long the LRR gang have been kicking about for though. The last thing I watched of theirs was the From Rewatch With Love podcast on the Bond movies with Graham and Matt, highly recommended for any Bond fans.
