I run my site/blog on BearBlog, and really enjoy it. After a long time of fighting with SSGs, hand-coding pages, CSS frameworks, etc I just decided that using a platform was the right choice for me to remove the friction for writing, and because of that I've been able to write/post more than I ever would have without it.
It also matches my preference/philosophy for the web which is minimal/text-focused/no-ads/super lightweight/etc.
