I don't believe it was previously laid out with this specificity. Most of Twitter's rules, at least in the past, were very vague and allowed admins miles of room for interpretation, which is...
I don't believe it was previously laid out with this specificity. Most of Twitter's rules, at least in the past, were very vague and allowed admins miles of room for interpretation, which is partly why Twitter turned into such a huge shithole in the first place. This just seems like further clarification of those rules.
That being said, I'm not sure how much this will actually help, given Twitter's gross mishandling of moderation in the past. Avoiding the specific examples they provide while still belittling and being hateful to religious groups is fairly easy, and if they don't extend this rule to allow for removal of that sort of similar content it's not going to solve their problem.
