I didn't see it mentioned, bit IIRC one other goal was also to remove their custom additions to the Linux kernel by sending them upstream, so that it basically just falls on the OEM to distribute...
I didn't see it mentioned, bit IIRC one other goal was also to remove their custom additions to the Linux kernel by sending them upstream, so that it basically just falls on the OEM to distribute any additional binary drivers, and that Google can then keep up with latest kernel releases instead of having to backport tons of code.
