Canadian charity recommendations

Hi Everyone!

I'm looking to donate some money to a charity that is focused on helping children learn how to code.
I've always heard that lots of charities are scams, and I was hoping to get the opinions of you fine folks about a good charity to donate to!

I generally use Charity Navigator to give any charity a once-over before I donate, though I don't know whether you could specifically search for Canadian child coding charities.

Charity Intelligence Canada looks to be a Canadian equivalent. They have a list of their top 100 charities. There are 5 in the Education category but none seem focused on teaching children to code.

I think the closest to what @TheOneTrueGod is looking for, based on a quick skim of the entire education category, is Visions of Science:

Visions of Science runs Community STEM Clubs, a STEM Community Leaders program, an in-school enrichment program, and summer learning camps to eliminate these barriers and provide free, accessible and consistent STEM learning programs within the community.

They've got 4 out of 5 stars and spend 89 cents of every dollar they collect on actual programs.

There's also Learning Partnership and Scientists in School that seem similar but aren't ranked quite as highly on impact or amount spent on non-overhead.

There's Canada Learning Code (formerly Ladies Learning Code). It's not just for kids but they do a lot of workshops and coding camps for kids. I volunteered for one of their camps a few years ago...

I volunteered for one of their camps a few years ago and can tell you it definitely was not a scam.
