Theme is not saving, can anyone else reproduce that?
iOS: I was on Black theme, went to settings and set White. The settings page changed theme, but when I clicked the Tildes logo to go to the home page, it went back to black, and in settings it still says black.
Seems not to be a saving to the DB. Can anyone else reproduce this?
@deimos - is this just me?
Do you have cookies blocked? The theme is saved in your cookies, not the site's database.
Thanks. Hmm, yeah I do have FF Focus running as a content blocker for Safari. That’s probably it. Oh, but I also clicked the Set as account default link. I thought that would override any local cookie.
I disable the content blocker and it’s still not working, and I did refresh the page.
Also, when I click set as default theme I now get this:
<html> <head><title>502 Bad Gateway</title></head> <body bgcolor="white"> <center>
502 Bad Gateway
</center><center>nginx</center> </body> </html>
Something strange is definitely happening, I'm seeing the Bad Gateway error occasionally too. Try again now, I disabled something temporarily.
502 fixed.
Now I am in iOS Chrome. When I try to set to a different theme it behaves like OP, except when I go back to settings, the new theme was saved to DB, but the home page is still the wrong theme.
I'm not sure, that's weird. Maybe try logging out (or using an incognito/private window) and see if you can get the theme to change consistently (staying changed between page loads) using the theme-switcher that's in the footer for logged-out users.
Ok, so everything works well on desktop and iOS chrome incognito.
Maybe there is some cookie state that is particular to my iOS device, on both chrome and safari that is weirding out the code?
Well, at least I came across that 502.
Ok, will try in a few.
