Remember collapsed comments?

Forgive me if it's already suggested.
Since we can mark new comments since last visit. Can we also have a feature that can remember collapsed comments and keep them collapsed if we reopen the thread?

    yep, already on the tracker. Did oldreddit do this as well? If yes, I wonder how, pretty sure they didn't store all that information server-side.

      Old reddit didn't do it. RES does though (storing in localstorage)

    What do you think should happen if one (or more) of the new comments are inside a thread you previously had collapsed? Should it un-collapse, or just be marked somehow to tell you there are new...

      I would say uncollapse direct parent comments all the way from the root to the new comment. That or indicate that there are new comments with the option to expand the comment tree as such and jump...
