This video will describe the rapidly growing tram system of Helsinki, wherein we take a look at the network's history, lines, technical details, tram fleet, ridership, and the system's very bright future. The capital of Finland has a strong momentum in building new rail projects, with the Jokeri Light Rail and Kalasatama line being recent additions. Currently, the amazing Crown Bridges project is under construction, and in the not-so-distant future, the Vantaa Light Rail and West-Helsinki Light Rail will start construction. The current tram system has a quite standardized fleet, with 2 generations of Valmet MLNRVs and the Škoda Transtech Artic. In the future, the Škoda Transtech Artic X54, might also see downtown operations, as they are now only active on the Jokeri Light Rail. Enjoy the video and comment down below what you think of Helsinki's trams.
