    We tried the first episode of Moonshine last night but couldn’t get into it. NYT recommended it saying it was “bright and exciting,” but it seemed a little contrite and forced to me. Wondering if it gets better? Anyone else watched it?

    The latest season of True Detective (Night Country) was pretty superb. Highly recommend.

    Watched the first series of Netflix's Avatar: The Last Airbender and... it's content. I liked some of the changes the live action adaptation made, and didn't like others, but the show had a serious expository problem and whatever focus that was added to the Fire Nation characters took away load bearing aspects from Team Avatar, and it made the show difficult to get through. If the show gets a season two, hopefully now that everything is set up, we can get going on the good stuff.
