This is pretty interesting. I was thinking about something like this when the thread about alternative news came up, because I had been wondering for awhile if there was any kind of alternative news sources for people who get their news from TV (like my parents), since it would kinda need to be in a format they're familiar with for them to engage in. There's already tons of news sources that aren't in that format and they choose not to engage with them over linear programming TV news. I believe there was even a different thread on here some weeks back asking about what are the preferred linear TV news stations.
That kind of made me wonder if it wasn't possible to have some kind of news programming that could be built around Youtube content (not necessarily even Youtube itself, just the type of content, could be like Nebula or something), where instead of just bombarding people with a bunch of dramatic news that isn't even necessarily relevant to people but is designed to enrage them or elicit emotions etc., it can be more informational but still entertaining. Like a hybrid between someone watching OG discovery channel/animal planet/history channel etc. with news.
So this is kind of along those lines but still different. I wonder if this is something my parents would use, as weird as the format is for someone like me, they just don't bother to learn anything other than linear TV.
