IMO it was disappointing because it felt really disconnected. Every character's story was filmed separately from the rest, often times months apart as the actors only had so much free time from their other projects, and so there was very few scenes with interaction between the main characters as a result. And the amazing character interaction was a huge part of what made the show so good in the first place. I am hoping this new cut at least makes it flow better, even though no amount of editing can alter the underlying reason that the season felt so different from the rest.
