They could continue a dark and gritty set of series through 20th Century Fox, now that they own that label. Disney has always been very careful with it's family-friendly branding, which makes sense, considering how it made them one of the largest media companies on the planet and by now one of the handful of companies in control of Hollywood.

I think it'd be interesting, but I highly doubt that they would do it, even through Fox. They're probably afraid to cannibalize their own MCU audience.

I really wanted to like Punisher. It was one of my favorite characters growing up, and the movies are just ridiculous. Jon Bernthal was beyond excellent, but the rest was subpar. The character of Amber Rose Revah (and the bureau as a whole) looked like every bad FBI cliche put together. I don't care for her acting either, but I'm not sure if the problem was her, the writing or both. I applaud the idea of addressing sexism in the workplace, but the dialogues with C. Thomas Howell (great actor, by the way) were extremely heavy handed. The guy was like a cartoon.

I also didn't watch Daredevil, so I felt there was some exposition missing in some points. This strategy of making you watch a bunch of shows in order to understand a single story doesn't seem very smart in 2019, it made me crazy as a broke ass kid in the 90s, and now that I have the cash, I don't have the time.

My major nitpick with this show is the romance with Luke Cage. It gets annoying really fast. Also it's 2019, I don't need Netflix to watch people fuck. I know that is canon and everything, but I didn't know her from the comics so I don't care. She's a bad-ass PI who doesn't need no man!!!!
