    Interesting.

I started watching 'The Simpsons' from the time it first began. I liked it. I kept watching year after year, until I realised I didn't like it any more; the number of episodes I liked was dropping too low to bother watching any more.

Later, the DVD box sets for each season came out, and I had to decide which seasons I wanted to buy. I worked out which seasons had the most episodes I liked (worth buying), and which seasons had too many episodes I didn't like (not worth buying). I ended up buying Seasons 1 to 8 inclusive.

Years later, this graph turns up and basically shows me, in full colour, my calculations from back then.

This dry comment doesn't quite do justice to my reaction to seeing this graph. I was astounded to see that almost all the green boxes are in the seasons that I bought, and that the show's scores noticeably drop off at exactly the same cut-off point that I chose to stop buying the DVDs.
