That said, I thought that there were a lot of VERY interesting angles here that may end up explored in the future, such as that the residents of Lakeview were mostly white and male and that the employees were mostly POC and female- as well as an interesting coastal divide, where LA seemed to be beautiful and sunny and to have fancy self-driving cars, while NYC is grungy and dystopian and we only see working class areas with public transportation that looks roughly the same as is current. (I mean, LA being beautiful and sunny and NYC being grungy and dystopian is really just Truth in Television but still.)
About the only complaint I heard about this show was that it wasn't Black Mirror and it wasn't the Good Place, so don't expect either of those, but everyone else is pretty warm on it. I've got...

Finished Season 1 of Upload, and it's okay, but it ends on a hook for a second season when it probably could of wrapped it up if it chose to. It pulls the "first season is prologue" trope that I'm super annoyed with, and they codify in dialogue that the BBEG isn't really that b, b, or e, and there has to be a second guy behind the guy.

I think that is what I am really loving about this show. It touches on a variety of complex issues, with a very light touch.
There are also a number of really interesting story lines they can explore, so this might actually have some legs.

I'm about to throw it on in the background to see how it is.
I loved essentially every show it's been compared to so I'm throwing it to the front.
Do report back then.
I'm about half way through episode two and I like where it's going.
