Ayjay LinkI requested my data and deleted my account a few months ago, following the whole Cambridge Analytica thing. It was the thing to tip me over the edge with the platform, along with all the pictures...I requested my data and deleted my account a few months ago, following the whole Cambridge Analytica thing. It was the thing to tip me over the edge with the platform, along with all the pictures of people's lunch and local hate speech. I think the driving force for a lot of their users, even historically is the fact that everyone's on there, everyone's got a Facebook account. "Add me on Facebook", "Let me find them on Facebook and take a look". Scary really. Its become so innate in our social interaction as societies, so people don't really recognize the risks and how truly awful it is.
TLDR;
Deleted Facebook because it's awful.
If I had friends I'd feel extremely left out.fin.
