    Soccer aka football. I liked playing it, but as I’ve aged I’ve found I enjoy watching more than other sports because the only commercial break is halftime.

    Seconded. The series is awesome and you can start most anywhere. The first couple books are a little slow. In addition to Mort and Guards! Guards! I’d recommend Monstrous Regiment and Jingo as...

    Seconded. The series is awesome and you can start most anywhere. The first couple books are a little slow. In addition to Mort and Guards! Guards! I’d recommend Monstrous Regiment and Jingo as standalone books that don’t rely on the other books for too much background or context.

    Agreed, as US fan, it was a great game until it was out of reach for Mexico and devolved into an effort by the Mexican team to hurt the US chances in the final.
