I would have wanted to spend at least a few hours there and we were trying to see as much as we could in the time we had.
This probably goes without saying, but always hold onto your bags, wallet etc. I had my backpack stolen when I was sitting on the steps of Sacre Coeur the first night we spent in Paris. I had had a few drinks and let my guard down. It was especially painful since I'm usually pretty vigilant. So yeah, don't make the same mistake I did!

Sainte-Chapelle, where they used to keep the supposed crown of thorns, is also one of the most beautiful buildings I've ever been in.

I enjoy this recording but it certainly isn't my favorite. If you're interested, I would recommend checking out his newest recording, "Quadraphilya." It's all original compositions. I'd also recommend his earlier stuff like "Nothingman" and "Fractals."

As far as subreddits go: in my opinion, the tiny ones devoted to very specific topics are great, but after they grow past a certain size their quality diminishes significantly.

I'll have to check out the Grant Green stuff. I haven't listened to him much beyond Green Street. One of those guys who just kind of slipped through the cracks in my listening.

By the way, I looked at your post history noticed and noticed you're really into jazz. Others appreciaters are few and far between so I'm always curious to talk to them when I can.
What are some of your favorite records and musicians?

I'm interested in serious discussions about music (music theory, music history etc.). None of reddit's music subreddits are really worth while, and /mu/ is, well, /mu/;* I'm hoping it'll be possible to foster some kind of music community on here since there aren't many alternatives. I'm especially interested in talking about jazz and classical music.
*/mu/ has some decent discussions occasionally but it's mostly shitposts
