Hello! I'm a 30-something lady living in the Southern U.S. I'm currently a part-time adjunct instructor, part-time freelance writer in the health sciences/public health realm. I'm still finding my footing as an adjunct, so that seems to suck up a lot of my time and energy. But I'm trying to strike a better work-life balance.

One of my stress-relieving outlets is crafting, even though I don't have much patience to fully follow any tutorials and tend to make the rules up as I go along. I also love watching comedy, especially from the UK (in fact, I knew I'd love this place the first time I logged on here and the top post was about Taskmaster). I like other people, places, and things (thinking up fun facts about oneself is hard!).

    Anywho. Glad to be here!

After buying a bicycle in 2021 and letting it sit in the garage untouched for a shamefully long time, I've finally started getting into cycling. I previously was heavy into weight lifting and somewhat into yoga (both at home) but fell off the wagon pretty hard in 2020 and haven't had much motivation to return to those activities. Having something to do that gets me moving and out of the house has been exhilarating and, so far, something I look forward to doing - I forgot how nice that felt. My next goal is to figure out some type of plan; instead of riding leisurely around my neighborhood, I want to either focus on going further distances or getting faster.

and Succession (liked it very, very much) this week, and am now finally getting to the last season of Better Call Saul. These weren't my most favorite shows per se, but I've watched each one since their respective premieres; so, reaching the end of all three at once is a surprisingly weird feeling.

On the other hand, I've also been binge-watching The Dog House, a reality show that profiles people adopting dogs from an animal shelter in England. It's got the same feel-good vibe as GBBO or even First Dates but even better because ... dogs.
