Chef John of Food Wishes is honestly one of the greats. He teaches you techniques without you even realizing it. He encourages you to make recipes your own with his “that’s just you cooking” attitude. He’s inspired a load of other YouTube chefs, the most popular of which is probably Babish. He isn’t afraid to post his failures either, knowing that he isn’t perfect and recipes don’t always turn out. Finally, he has never asked me to “smash that like and subscribe button.”

Yeah it’s kinda funny how elderflower liqueur can be so subtle but also so overpowering. I’ve been trying to use up this bottle of St. Germaine for awhile now and trying different cocktails I’ve read about. It seems that it’s either the primary flavor mixed with subtler ingredients like sparkling wine, vodka, and or a backdrop for more sturdy flavors like gin and lemon/lime juice.

That being said, maybe a bit of lime juice (which goes well with rum and grape!) could brighten it up somewhat and stand up to the elderflower? I think I’ll try this out myself this weekend, I need a new summer drink to help me kill this bottle so thank you for the inspiration!

I had a very similar experience when my number was spoofed, receiving calls from many people that said I had called them first. It eventually escalated to the point that one man called me and cursed me out, even after I tried to explain the situation to him. He then proceeded to leave several threatening voicemails using my actual name and address. He apparently had reached his breaking point and looked up my number online, which is how he found my name and then my address.

I called my cell provider and they said there was little they could do about the spoofers, but they could at least block the number of the person leaving me death threats every week… so that was nice. I eventually stopped getting these calls after a few weeks. I guess the scammers moved on to another section of the phone number alphabet.
