    Kirk is the cooler first-person fantasy to be in his shoes. But if I was stationed on a starship with one as my captain, it'd have to be Picard. Picard makes for better TV too. Moral dilemmas are much more exciting than visceral conflict, and it keeps you thinking about and remembering the episodes after they are over.
