Mathematical theory is certainly discovered/natural, but the process of articulating and disseminating it is invented/artificial (not just in the tangible logistic sense, but also in the abstract social sense). If we disregard how humans relate to mathematics from being part of mathematics itself, then whether it's discovered or invented seems inconsequential (to humans) in some sense.

There's a moment where Toji and Satoru are still standing off which feels like you are seeing two series antagonists face off against each other. Alas, it's just that Satoru has gone insane. Maybe you would be too if you realised that multiplying negative numbers together is the missing piece to your clan's secret technique.
Toji's final words to Satoru remind me of Roger entrusting the unborn Ace to Garp in One Piece.
The revisit of Episode 3's ending moments from a different angle at the start of this episode is interesting. The stabilised shot of Riko's head colliding against the floor seems an uncanny choice, like it was straight out of a TikTok video/influencer short.

To be honest, I hadn't expected that Season 2 might be answering some of them until the trailers hit.
This episode does well to exemplify the integrity and kindness of the pair and their solidarity with each other. Toji versus Satoru and even Toji "versus" Riko take a backseat for me compared to
- Suguru swearing on his and Satoru's combined strength and opening another path for Riko
- Suguru's reaction of pure vengeance as he summons his cursed spirits at the end of the episode
I have re-watched this episode twice now and still am not over Suguru's VA's delivery of his last lines in the episode.
I either had forgotten or never knew the name "Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis" but ironically had noticed the phenomenon in how I [struggle to] articulate myself as a weakly bilingual person. What do you mean when you say that the hypothesis was "widely debunked"? I happily accept there is a gradation to which something like the Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis holds true or fails to hold.
