I stopped playing PUBG earlier this year because I wasn't enjoying it anymore. For me, the pendulum has swung away from competitive multiplayer. My friend moved for a new job so we've been playing online co-op in the forms of Vermintide 2 (fantasy Left 4 Dead with a dash of RPG elements) and Deep Rock Galactic (space dwarves mining space minerals and killing space bugs). VT2 has some very satisfying melee combat and is fun in terms of testing your skill. DRG has hit a sweet spot of chill exploration, platform-y puzzle solving, and frantic combat.

If you can find some friends/coworkers who are all new and a little interested, it can be fun to crack into it together, all going in blind.
