Oakmire The United States has allocated tens of millions of dollars in aid in recent years for farmers across Central America, including efforts to help them adapt to the changing climate.
But President Trump has vowed to cut off all foreign aid to Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador because of what he calls their failure to curb the flow of migrants north.
A sudden crisis and lack of savings is all it takes. A $1,000 loan would have prevented my own homelessness on two occasions; enough to get into a cheap apartment and survive until paychecks started coming in. It is absolutely soul-crushing to land a job in that scenario, and have to wait 3-4 weeks to clock in for the first time.
