Is it Pokemon for being my first anime (or one of them. I'm not 100% sure if it was Pokemon)? Probably not cause my kid self wasn't differentiating Pokemon from other cartoons.
Is it Digimon or Inazuma Eleven? Maybe. They're the first ones I've gone out of my way to watch knowing they're made in Japan. But other than watching those 2 (and Pokemon still), I had yet to go out of my way to properly start anime as a whole medium.
Is it Yu-Gi-Oh, after which I started to branch out? Again, maybe.
Or is it Steins;Gate and Code Geass for being the first two I watched after I started to branch out into all kinds of anime post-Yu-Gi-Oh? This could also be a potential answer.
So it depends on what we define as "kickstarting my interest in anime". I know OP said it doesn't neccesarily have to be my first, but then I wouldn't know which one to consider as being "the one".
So I'll answer the question of "Do you still like it?" for each of the options.
I haven't rewatched the Pokemon seasons I grew up with, but I am currently watching the new Pokemon Horizons after not watching any Pokemon in years, and I still like playing the games. So I assume I would still enjoy the seasons I watched back then.
Digimon I also haven't rewatched since. I'm not watching the newer stuff either. But since Digimon also has a "kids have monsters that fight" premise except with a lot more plot than Pokemon, and I still like Pokemon, I would guess I'd still like Digimon too.
Inazuma Eleven is harder to say. Again, haven't rewatched it. I tried to watch Ares, the newest season and I only got a few episodes in before I dropped it. The popular opinion is that Ares is a lot worse than the original series or the Go series, so I'm not going to say that I wouldn't still like Inazuma Eleven just because I didn't finish Ares.
Yu-Gi-Oh's newer seasons apparently are pretty bad, at least according to stuff like MAL ratings. If they were considered good, I'd 100% go and watch them since I still like the idea of the card game. I would most likely still enjoy rewatching the ones I've seen.
Steins;Gate and Code Geass I definitely still enjoy. With these ones we're getting the closest to present day. S;G is still my favorite anime of all time and I've rewatched it multiple times. I also rewatched Code Geass once, although that was a few years ago at this point. I don't doubt I'd like it even if I were to watch it now.

Been made fun of for playing BanG Dream). This is true where I live too, even though it's not Italy. But then to say they're right to ridicule those who watch them?
Besides mainstream stuff, are other shounen action anime the only things we should watch?
Look, I watch stuff like Attack on Titan or Vinland Saga. I'm not hating on action. But I also watch and like anime like Non Non Biyori or Bocchi the Rock.
I don't agree that ridiculing someone for watching a genre that harms literally no one is the right thing to do.

But I know about her through the covers for many years.
What I've been thinking about watching from her are her Apex Legends streams. I would play it myself, but I know no one that plays it and the game's got no Solo Mode. Unless I were to play solo against duos, which would probably not be enjoyable. I could think of watching her as a substitute for me playing the game myself.

My main interaction with Hololive and other vtubers is through songs. I listen to a lot of Vtuber original and cover songs.
Some of my favorites, songs-wise, are Gawr Gura, Hakos Baelz, Moona Hoshinova, Harusaruhi, Kaf, and definitely a lot I'm forgetting. Harusaruhi and Kaf are technically not Vtubers, but rather Vsingers (essentially vtubing without the streaming), but I feel like they still definitely fit the topic.

Or even if not, surely in Fall 2023 or any other future season, there will eventually be anime that I'm watching that will also have discussion threads. So either way, I'd be more than happy if this takes off.
I'll write below the shows that I'm watching this season. Or at the very least the ones I'm checking out. Shows that aren't sequels nor adaptations of manga I've read could get dropped if I'm not enjoying them. So this is just what I intend on starting.

So about the shows you mentioned: Steins;Gate is my number 1 anime, absolutely love it! I've seen the first 4(?) episodes of Konosuba and I wasn't that into it, I don't know. Never watched the other two. The Tatami Time Machine Blues is a sequel, right? I haven't seen the first season, but hearing it compared to Steins;Gate makes me interested. And then Saiki K I've been hearing a lot of good things about, so it's probably a matter of time until I get to it.
Out of the manga you mentioned, I've read some but not all of Yotsuba&.
As for recommendations, I only have Steins;Gate to go off of, since it's the only one that we've both completed. But even so, I have a few. Re:Zero, Erased, Link Click and Summertime Rendering come to mind.
-
Re:Zero is about a guy that is sent to another world that can Groundhog Day himself to fix the many bad stuff that happens. There is a condition to triggering the ability, but I won't spoil that. So far has 2 seasons, not complete yet.
-
Erased. The protagonist goes back in time in his kid self's body and attempts to save someone that was murdered, and the killer never discovered. Completed in 1 season.
-
Link Click. Technically Chinese, but it's on MyAnimeList so I count it. It has a Japanese dub, though you did say you watch them in German? If so, not sure if this one (or if any of these) have a German dub though. Anyways, it's about going back in time by entering photos. The cool thing is that when he does this, he enters the body of the person that took the picture. Also there's a Season 2 starting to air in a few days, so now could be a good time to watch it. Not complete yet, obviously, since there's a 2nd season coming. I don't know if it will conclude the story or if there'll be a third season.
-
Summertime Rendering. I don't want to spoil, so I'll just go over the very basic premise that's told in the first few minutes of Episode 1. Guy moved to Tokyo (or at least I think Tokyo) but returns home after a childhood friend died. Completed in 1 season.
Yoasobi's Idol is amazing. I havent heard of the other 2, but I'll give them a listen soon.
Now here's my favorites:
Anime:
-
Steins;Gate - I don't have to explain why this is so good, we've both seen it xD.
-
Non Non Biyori - In a constant fight for my number 1 spot against Steins;Gate. Very different show. It's a Slice of Life about 4 girls living in the countryside. I feel like you might enjoy this one if you like Yotsuba&, especially since one of the girls is close in age to Yotsuba. Completed in 3 seasons, an OVA and a movie.
-
Bocchi The Rock - Newer anime (Fall 2022) but is great for me cause it's got a socially anxious protagonist and great music. Has 1 season, but the manga goes further, so there'll probably be more.
-
Vinland Saga - Vikings anime. Absolutely incredible show and characters. It's got 2 seasons so far. Season 2 ended last month, so here's hoping more is coming, cause the story's not complete.
-
Attack on Titan - Do I have to introduce this one?
Manga:
I too haven't read that much manga, but out of the few I did, my favorites are Spirit Circle (Girl transfers into the class of the protagonist and wants to kill him for something that happened between them in previous lives) and ReLIFE (Protagonist gets a pill that makes him 10 years younger and is sent back to high school for an experiment. Also has an anime that's complete, but I read the manga first).
I want to read more manga and recently I've started making a "To Read" list. What I did is I went to one of those Youtube videos of people showing off their manga collection (I searched for "Manga Tour" or something like that) and I found a bunch I'm interested in that way.
My favorite singer is Minami. She's done three anime openings, one of which is really popular (probably more than her herself). I recommend anything by her, but especially Kawaki wo Ameku, Hollowness and Lilac.

I'm theoretically watching the following seasonal anime, but I'm not up to date with any: Vinland Saga Season 2, Oshi no Ko, Witch from Mercury, Skip to Loafer, My Clueless First Friend, Insomniacs After School, Pokemon Horizons and Kubo Won't Let Me Be Invisible. There's also Jigokuraku and Tengoku Daimakyou, but I've only seen 1 episode of each of those two, so not sure if I'll be continuing them.
Now manga, however, this is where it goes past theoretically, as I'm actually reading.
Manga I've completed in June (as of the 6th):
I Had The Same Dream Again
Really short (12 chapters) but amazing manga. I don't want to spoil the story, and since it's so short, there's not a lot for me to say without... well, spoiling. I gave it a 9.5.
O/A
Decent manga about an idol that's also working at a radio. It's fun and I enjoyed reading it but I wouldn't say it's a favorite of mine. I gave it a 6.5, which is still an alright score with how I consider them.
Currently reading:
Liar Game:
After reading about 20-30 chapters years ago, I decided to pick it back up from the beginning. Currently 14 chapters in.
House of the Sun:
Probabily my favorite of the three I'm currently reading, at least for now. Love the characters in this one. 24 chapters in.
Sometimes Even Reality is a Lie
Hilarious manga, but the chapters are unfortunately short. There's like 160 of them and it's stil releasing, but one chapter tends to be about 4-5 pages long.
This is all for now. I guess I'll be updating this as a reply to myself once enough changes take place (finishing and/or starting new stuff). Of course, I'll go over to the July post when the time comes, but it's still early June, so this comment will essentially be outdated in a couple weeks.

I also love ReLife, which is also one cour, but it also has 4 OVAs that end the story. Smantie's suggestion of Erased is also good. Won't comment on their other recommendation, cause I haven't seen Violet Evergarden.

Rei13 I'm not the person you asked, but I've also seen quite a lot of Survivor, although not every season. I would say it depends on if you want to commit to watching so much of it. If you see yourself...I'm not the person you asked, but I've also seen quite a lot of Survivor, although not every season. I would say it depends on if you want to commit to watching so much of it. If you see yourself eventually watching them all, I'd say go in order. Mainly because of the returning player seasons that will spoil past events.
If not, I can let you know my subjective (and incomplete) opinion on which ones I didn't like. I say incomplete because I basically jumped around all over the show's history, so there are gaps in what I've seen. Personally I wish I had done them in order, but by the time I came to that conclusion, it was too late.

My main interests are anime, manga and Japanese music. I imagine most of my activity here will be relating to those three subjects, but you never know. My favorite anime is Steins;Gate or Non Non Biyori, essentially it depends on the mood I'm in when asked the question haha. Especially since they're vastly different shows. As for manga, I've only recently started reading more of it, so my options for a favorite are quite limited. Regardless, for right now I'd have to go with ReLife or Spirit Circle. And now we arrive to Japanese music. The singer I like the most is Minami, but I listen to a lot of other people, but I'm not gonna go into all of them in this comment. Unless someone is curious, in which case I can name some more later.
I occasionally play games too, but I don't spend as much time on that as I do on what I talked about above. Not sure which game I consider my favorite, but I'm a Nintendo guy, so probabily something you can play on their consoles.
Anyways, I haven't been too active on Reddit in recent years, so I'm looking forward to maybe being active again, but here instead of there.
Ok yeah, teasing between friends is fine. It's just that there's a difference between friendly banter and ill intentioned ridiculing. I've had the latter happen to me too and so your comment kinda reminded me of that happening.
Maybe it was not worded ideally in your initial comment or maybe it was just me misunderstanding. Either way, the actual reasoning in the clarification makes sense. It's all good!
