I really liked their last LP Brutalism, which was - to my mind - more personal than the tracks from the upcoming album - even though the loss of Joe's daughter will definitely play a huge role. IDLES are the band we (I) need in this weird times.

The focus is on events that combine Internet and real places - for example, they organize Internet black markets where applications can be purchased that are not allowed in the App Store or art that in some way deals with Internet subculture. The documentary gives an interesting insight into Japan's internet counterculture.

I think he is some one of a few producers who successfully escaped the Tape-House bubble which was building up over the last years. I totally get your reference with Nym - I think both have the same dreamish style coming up in their tracks. Another reference I have when listening to this song are the DJ Koze tracks from his last LP - especially when it comes to the weird/unusual sounds.

Even though they got german texts I have the impression, that they could build up an international fanbase
IDLES (1,2) - IDLES are a punk band from England. I was listening a lot to their last album, after i moved to Berlin an was fucked up about my new job. Their last album was pretty dark and heavy and to my mind, the main focus was on death of the frontman´s mother. The tracks from the next LP are more abstract/holistic. Samaritans is about toxic masculinity and Danny Nedelko is about Solidarity with immigrants. I´m super excited about their new LP, cause they are tackling some issues I was thinking a lot about the last months.
Júlio Cruz - Thank U - I didn´t wanted to end this post with just Rock or Punk Tracks." Thank U" is a proper House Track with a beautiful sample from Alicia Myers and a good track for friday evening.
I started with Pinboard but it was to brutalist for me - right now I´m saving them at are.na - it´s more a sort of social bookmarking but I´m satisfied with their service and the stuff i find there from other users.
