I had this game wishlisted for the longest time, but then forgot what it was about.
I’ve played Asheron’s Call (AC) for a very long time, it was my first MMORPG and has made a lasting impression on me. Project: Gorgon (PG) captures some of the magic I felt with AC.
I don’t think it will ever be able to dethrone AC because nothing can best a great memory, but it is something else than your typical MMORPG.It has a lot of fun skills that keep surprising me and that I’ve never seen in other games. You can almost be whatever you want to be/play.
I’ll be playing it for a while for sure, but many other great games are lurking around the corner that will be getting my attention (starfield, baldurs gate 3, …)

For some reason this popped into my mind when going through this thread. Most apps I loved back then were already mentioned. (Encarta, paint, dreamweaver).
I also loved Flash, mostly to create stuff. It was so easy, even to create games with physics. It is how I learned about physics in games.

I started a season in D3 a month before D4 and was enjoying it, so I bought D4 and joined a clan. I finished the campaign last week to make sure I have it all unlocked for the season. I finished a few days early and I didn’t bother to log into eternal after.
I started with the season yesterday and it is easier to play short games, but looking at all the things I have to do to unlock level 90 of the battlepass, I’m already demotivated to continue. I guess the seasonal stuff with a deadline is not for me in this game. I do like the skin you get, not that it is very obvious what you are wearing in this game.
Like Disney Speedstorm, games where you have to grind because FOMO against a timer get dropped by me pretty fast. It’s unfortunate because I do like both games.
Back to Star Citizen I guess.

I even managed communities myself.I knew of reddit before I was a Digg user, and the content on the homepage was simply the best. The other sites became irrelevant because I already had seen the content being posted on reddit before they were “reposted” on all the other sites. The discussions on reddit were better than the “reactions” on the other sites.
The comment section on youtube/instagram/tiktok is mostly useless. On Reddit I’d go to the discussion first and content later.

anyonas LinkI hope 3.20 will be as stable as I'm eager to test out the Hull-C. I don't expect it to be a viable choice at this stage to fully use it as intended, but I'm sure we'll have a lot of fun with it,...I hope 3.20 will be as stable as I'm eager to test out the Hull-C.

anyonas LinkDisney Speedstorm: Kart racer that I enjoy. I always wanted to get into Mario Kart but for some reason that did not work out (yet). Speedstorm surely has a lot of issues, but the music is great and if you spent a lot of money it's not as frustrating to do all the events. My interest in the game is declining and I expect to drop it for other games. I should try Mario Kart again.
Diablo IV: I've been focussing on the story, and less so on the grind or the progression. It's my goto game at the moment, but I'm not sure what will happen once I finish the story. I'm not the kind of person that grinds for gear. The shop thankfully does not contain a lot of stuff I enjoy so I can keep my wallet closed.
Star Citizen: When it works, the game can be a lot of fun, when it doesn't, we create memes and participate in the community. It surely has made a name for itself, it's very controvertial. Most of my friends mock the game even though they never tried it.
For me it's more about the sandbox environment, the possibilities and the sci-fi setting. I don't even enjoy PVP or flying spaceships, but I sure do enjoy living in them, and visiting new locations, meeting new people, manually loading up ships with boxes, ... -

I've been rocking that for a couple of weeks now, modified with sunset switches, and I really love it.I once started with a cherry flat keyboard that I had to go through hoops for to get it 20 years ago.
After that I migrated to a Filco Ninja with blue MX switches. I participated in the first massdrop for building my own ErgoDox, and I've used that for many years and that helped a lot for shoulder pain. The pain was gone.For some reason I tried a Topre keyboard and fell in love with the feel, and I went all in with Norba cases and everything.
The ZSA Moonlander was announced, and bought that with brown MX switches. I used that for a while but grew annoyed by the cable that connect the 2 halves, so I went back to Topre. I really liked the moonlander, the software is great... but I still prefer the sound and feel of the ergodox I build myself.
A few months ago I started getting some wrist pain, and I've noticed that it's partly how I use a mouse, but also how I type on a normal keyboard... I started looking into getting a wireless split keyboard and almost ordered a custom Kinesis Advantage 360, but noticed that for now it would not be a great fit because of the height. It would be too high until I get a new desk.
That's when I saw a new batch was incoming for the MoErgo Glove80 and just went for that. Had some doubts about the switches, so I got the sunsets instead and I'm really happy with it. I can almost reach all the keys without moving my palm. Only the top keys can't be reached by my pinky.

I found a copy on the web archive that had a working guestbook page, and when I went through the comments I was perplexed by what some people wrote.
One of the entries was of a girl basically saying that she wants to be with me... and I never made that connection back then. It did explain her negative attitude towards me the years after because she must have felt rejected?
Another one was of a good online friend that I lost contact with after some years, and I met him in real life a few years ago, but did not make the connection until I saw his guestbook post. He was as surprised as me when I told him. We did not become friends again though, we are totally different people now.

anyonas LinkSo many to choose from. I'll pick ones that I'd pick up again today. Asheron's Call: This introduced me to MMORPGs. You had to figure out spells by trying out formulas and you had to find the...So many to choose from. I'll pick ones that I'd pick up again today.
- Asheron's Call: This introduced me to MMORPGs. You had to figure out spells by trying out formulas and you had to find the spell components. You could be whatever you wanted to be. WoW felt very limiting to me, although the environments looked nicer.
- Fallout 1: The theme and the feeling of really having to survive a post-apocalyptic world.
- Trespasser: The promise of the game was appealing, but I was kind of disappointed that a lot of the promises were not possible (Multiple ways off the island, like building a raft and float away). In the end, it was a great experience as a big JP fan. Instead of playing it I watched a playthrough a few weeks ago.
I use their <anything>@<user>.mydomain.com variant instead of plus-addresses because it’s so easy to remove it in spam list.
The nicest thing is that you can easily change your from address when needed as long as it’s in the limits of your setup.
