    Although a week late commenting: unfortunately I was clouded out here in the middle of the USA for both Friday and Saturday night. Robert Lunsford told me a few days ago he thought it was a lackluster show this year.

    Kinda mixed on a sequel since they often fall flat. It was a good movie overall until the time loop end. The happy ending is the end of their version of the story. For those like myself that read...

    Kinda mixed on a sequel since they often fall flat. It was a good movie overall until the time loop end. The happy ending is the end of their version of the story.

     

    For those like myself that read the original story ("All You Need is Kill") it departs heavily in the end. Well of course other factors are different but the general idea of Cage in a time loop hooking up with Rita is core idea. Pity we never get to see movie Rita in battle mode like original Rita.

    One week until the Perseid meteor shower maximum. You will see an increase in activity every night/morning this week as it ramps up to full strength. This is a good year with minimal moon interference and the peak is Saturday night / Sunday morning (North America time zones) so its on a weekend. If the weather in your area is good you should get out to a dark sky next weekend and observe.

    Morning meteor activity increases this time of year in the northern hemisphere. About four weeks to the Perseid meteor shower peak which is on a weekend this year. With favorable moon conditions this year make plans to get out to a dark site to enjoy the show.
