I get so much mail for these people. I know details of their life that they would tell nobody. I know how much they pay for car insurance, when their apartments are getting work done, the new job relocation they've done. I know one of them is really bad with money and is desperately seeking predatory loans.
There isn't much to do about it. I have contacted one individual to kindly remind them to be careful giving an incorrect address, but you can't really stop information in the wild once it's done. I half-worry that telling these folks that they've messed up will be taken incorrectly as "hacking" or some such nonsense, so I have stopped trying at all.

If AI somehow becomes a software engineer capable of reasoning about tradeoffs in architecture, then we can talk. It's not doing that for the time being. (And that's the GP's point)

If I don't design course X for my department, somebody else [I know is incompetent] will.
I've noticed this too, and that Amazon has an opt-in now for packaging. I dislike them sending stuff in original packaging for so many reasons not least of which is that a lot of original packaging isn't made to handle rain.
