    Be careful with a hair dryer, they can melt the plastics. We used a steamer and that worked really well.

    Some of the problem is parts availability for old appliances. Control board goes out? If you can find it it's $600+ for just the board, not including install. The mechanical parts are getting hard...

    The refrigerators have had board issues for more than a decade, before smart appliances were even a thing.
    Their dryers were so cheaply built: they would lose round in shipping, the bulkheads would slowly collapse, and the elements for the electric models would blow frequently. Compared to any other brands elements going out was uncommon, it happened, but not even a quarter as sumsungs

    I can't recall, with clarity, if those vent out or not. I want to say they don't.
    In which case, you may completely disregard my vent tirade.
    It could still be an airflow problem, though.
    I couldn't wrap my mind around how condenser type dryers weren't going to get plugged with lint after a while. Even the old models could do that, and they vented externally.

    Cleaning your vent will decrease run time, decrease how hard the machine has to work, and will allow for better regulation of temperature.

    Dryers are one of the most common causes of house fires. Not Cleaning a vent allows for the build up of lint INSIDE the machine (the amount of Dryers I have worked on that had already caught fire, several times [unbeknownst to the customer] was absolutely alarming).

    Clean the lint screen EVERY TIME!!! No, really, EVERY TIME. For the same reason as cleaning the vent.

    Dryers are capable of handling about 20 feet (about 6m) of vent length. If there are elbows in the vent they count as about 5 feet, each elbow. Anything after 20 feet, you need a dryer vent booster.

    If your dryer is electric, put it air fluff (runs with no heat). if it's still making heat in that setting, you need a new timer.

    Do not run your dryer if you are not home!

    Sorry if this sounds alarmist, lint is Very combustible. Same thing as a grain fire/explosion.

    Not all modern electric dryers are 115v, they are the minority. When I left the appliance repair job I had 3-4 years ago, 240v for electric dryers was standard. Edit: gas dryers have always been 115v

    What I've found myself doing, after reading about people with 'super' memory, was building a story/picture about what I wanted to remember. These triggers are something completely internal using things that stand out about the interaction, that I anchor to the person.
    I have actually gotten compliments on the things I can recall after applying this method. Now if only I could be more consistent..

    Just a warning for folks: RO takes out the fluoride as well. When my son was a toddler, he went from no cavities to 8 or 9 in a very short time. We were all drinking exclusively RO water at the time

    Is there ice buildup (it starts as frost, then turns solid) along the back interior wall of the freezer?
    Aside from the temperature concerns, the water valve (on the refrigerator side) could be going bad and allowing water to bleed by. There should be a valve on the house side that you should shut off until this is resolved. They are commonly behind the refrigerator, but, may be wherever the closest pipe is.
    Thermometers for both refrigerator and freezer compartments are recommended

    I'm not arguing that there isn't any energy exchange. I should have included that in my oc. In my mind that cost would be nothing compared to having replace those transmission cables.
