    Bomb Rush was very cool for sure, but my personal indie game of the year would be Cocoon. It was genius. Killer Frequency was fun too, but also dumb as hell.

    Even if it were finished, I'm not entirely sure that what it offers is any different to what we have now. BlueSky is the exact same thing as Twitter ten years ago, and X now, and Mastadon, and...

    Even if it were finished, I'm not entirely sure that what it offers is any different to what we have now. BlueSky is the exact same thing as Twitter ten years ago, and X now, and Mastadon, and Countersocial, and Threads, et al.

    I lost interest in it after a couple of days. They're all just a homogeneous mass now.

    So refreshing to hear this. As an amatuer photographer myself, the amount of people online advocating for monetisation is ridiculous. The instragram influencer grindset makes me feel ill. Is it not enough to just quietly enjoy your hobby..? I don't want to be a fucking wedding photographer in my spare time haha.

    Anywho, in terms of lenses, if you like photographing people up close I would suggest experimenting with widening your angle, dropping to something like the 23-28mm range - you will start to look for scenes as well as subjects. Check out the photography of Garry Winogrand for some nice examples of that particular focal length.

    Realisticly, could this be a potential outcome? And even if so, would it necessarily be a good thing? I don't know enough about soviet politics to begin making a prediction about how this will turn out, but it seems chaotic, in the truest sense of the word.

    As an aside, this event has also illustrated for me just how far Twitter has fallen. I mean, it was never the BBC or anything, but usually a pretty good bulletin board of moment to moment / on-the-ground updates. Now it's just a sluice of the most deranged shit imaginable. Completely unusable.
