It's a lot more than not liking the word, though. That slur can be incredibly offensive to many people. Just because it does not make you hurt and upset in the same way does not mean it doesn't do that to others. It's also really not at all a big deal to just not say the word. You can say unintelligent and it has the same meaning, without hurting anyone.

Oh, I think I misunderstood OP then. I had thought they were recommending the blacklist as the only method of personal content aggregation. Sorry, my mistake!

I have no idea what the status quo is for this. I don't love the blacklist idea though. What if the only sport I like is college football, for example, and I don't want to see any other sports content? I can't blacklist sports as a whole, so I'd have to individually block each sub-tildes individually, except football, then each sub-tildes for that except for college football. What if I only want news about my team? I'd have to blacklist each other team's sub-tildes. It's a lot of work for just one sub-tildes. I think as a rule, there's a lot fewer content users are interested in than content that exists. I still think there should be a way to block sub-tildes, though.

Same. Still in school and don't exactly have a good source of income, but if I did, I definitely would.

Yeah, I have to wonder if a lot of the people self-identifying as leftist mean leftist as in anarcho-communism, or leftist as in Bernie-supporters. The issue I think comes from different groups having separate definitions of leftism. I'm an anarcho-communist myself, and on subs like r/COMPLETEANARCHY, the consensus is that anyone who isn't class-conscious is centrist, if not right-leaning. however, a lot of Democrats I know in my own life consider themselves to be very far-left. There's no good way to solve any of this - even if each individual ideology was listed out, there's no good way to get everything or account for everyone's personal belief. This whole comment was pretty pointless, but it just makes me wonder how accurate the results are.

I like this idea a lot, it lets people who don't get to the thread right away still make a contribution that means something.
