Feels strange as I'm getting the vibe from you that smartwatches must be very common where you are lol

Cool to hear your dad's story. Army folks sure have a lot going in their job, one might consider getting posted in remote areas like that as an advantage to the job lol. Personally, I have travelled to maybe 5-10 states (and UTs) depending on how much time I spent and area I covered during my visit you consider. But I can say I have travelled to and stayed in most of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Punjab, Haryana as well as most of Himachal too (My village is in himachal but I live in Bengaluru now).
I wish to see more soon, perhaps states like Meghalaya or J&K or maybe even somewhere like Odisha, but heck there's Covid around :(
One place that I love to visit either by itself or on the way to somewhere else is Mysore. I'd recommened visiting it, maybe even around this time of the year (October) because they have their beautiful Dusshera preparations ongoing. Either way, I hope covid passes, and that you and I can visit more wonderful places in the country soon :)

People of Tildes, have you travelled the entirety of the length of your country?
If my title was a bit confusing, here's some examples of such trips: An east to west coast trip in the United States A trip from the northernmost point of Scotland down over to Lizard Peninsula...
If my title was a bit confusing, here's some examples of such trips:
- An east to west coast trip in the United States
- A trip from the northernmost point of Scotland down over to Lizard Peninsula (UK)
I hope you get the idea. It doesn't have to be a complete end to end trip, so even one which covers a large part of the country's area should be fine. Please describe your experiences if you have experienced one :)
I apologise if this does not meet the quality mark for the website, this is my first try at posting here ;-;

The summer here is during the months of March to May, since the monsoon arrives in June, changing weather drastically. During summer the average daily highs are usually 32-36 degrees (C), with the hottest temperature recorded ever being ~38 degrees. Average daily lows during summer gets to around 26-28 degrees (C) by the early mornings.
Although, now since we're experiencing pre-monsoon showers on a daily basis, the temperature barely crosses into 30 degrees even during day and often goes as low as 21 (C) at night. It's been a week since the supposed pre-monsoon showers began. The winds during the rain are really crazy. Bangalore also lies near the highest point of elevation on the Mysore Plateau, which moderates its temperature making it substantially cooler than the plain areas a little further away. While I'm on it, the monsoon is also being expected to arrive in coastal Kerala by tomorrow, so we should experiencing proper monsoon rains here in Bangalore in a few days lol.
During winter the temperature decreases to daily highs of around 23-25 degrees (C), and lows of 15-17 degrees (C). It doesn't get any colder except for perhaps a handful of days when the temperature reaches ~13 degrees (C). It gets to dense fogs in the mornings and sometimes rarely, evenings too. Bangalore isn't very humid too. It's never too hot, and I can always survive without an AC, and it isn't too cold either, like at my relatives' places in Himachal, where they're forced to use a heater during the winter months. I love the weather here personally.
Somewhere in the last two months, I began feeling really cluttered with how much content I was consuming on my devices. It started making me feel sick in a way I hadn't experienced before. I used that feeling of sickness as motivation to get rid of nearly everything I felt addicted to. So pretty much all social media, video games, and the NSFW content I'd been frequenting.
I played through KCD2, and then once I was done and burnt out, I even deleted all my video games (I loved KCD2, but the grind burnt me out as a perfectionist). I probably will download some of them again in the future, but for now, I'm in no mood to play anymore. I also began fasting, to control that urge to stress-eat which made me gain me weight in the last few months unfortunately. Sad, because I worked hard to lose weight before that. Somewhere along, I got complacent.
Some observations - Social media really did have a strong negative influence on my mind. I never thought it could make me feel negative on that level. X was the worst, apparently (with all the negativity). Genuinely felt so positive the days after I deleted it. I'm not going back to any social media, and from now I'll only be using whatever is the minimum for communication.
Video games aren't as bad as social media, but they certainly made me lose my perception of time much more worse. I couldn't keep track of how long I was playing. But hopefully, I'll try to find a way in the future to fix that, when I start playing them again.
The most interesting thing was noticing how much reliant I was becoming on the AI apps. Asking Claude or ChatGPT to clarify every small doubt in my mind, instead of actually using my head. It was almost like I was outsourcing my basic thinking. So I've limited screentime for those apps to under an hour, just to ask limited things (I'd often waste time with them get into asking all sorts of tangential questions, because I felt at that time, that the AI had such clear thoughts, compared to my own).
All in all, June was hell of a month with all those changes. I'm now reading my news from a physical newspaper, and talk to atleast one person a day, even if on a call (to keep that minimum social contact going), and am clearly less distracted and can focus on work. Can't say I'm fully satisfied, but atleast I don't feel like the zombie I was at the end of May. I'm remembering lots of things I was suppressing in memory for whatever reason with the slop all around earlier. Example: I remembered this website I used to check out long ago (when I left Reddit), which brought me here today for a change.
