Hey both, I’m the guy behind the post and the Kickstarter campaign. Just to answer your suspicions, I was aware of companies like dbrand before I started - I even looked into them to see if I could ‘print’ the look of aluminium but figured it wouldn’t look right - too ‘flat’ I suspect.
I did however get an offer from one company to work with them to try and produce something similar, so if the Kickstarter doesn’t get funded (which I suspect it won’t..) I’ll try and look at some alternatives.
Worst case scenario I’ll just try and detail my steps, point out the exact 3M vinyl etc. for other to try and give it a go themselves.
