At this point, I only use Google for my core services (email, drive, photos). Everything else I use another service for if possible. I just wish that Google wasn't required to use parts of the internet - there is a definite monopoly in some cases, and not enough competition. It's a similar situation to Facebook, though that's slowly changing (many games or services liked to use Facebook for a while, and it was the only method of saving progress or signing in).
The best I think we can do is continue to educate people about what companies like this are doing, demystify the background workings. People lie - researching topics is important for every day discourse and forming opinions on important matters.
Kudos to the guy who made the video. That's work I'm glad I didn't have to do.

As a side note, the minimalistic approach for the website is beautiful.
I'm a GM for a few games currently (Fate, Star Wars: Edge of the Empire, and Forbidden Lands), but I've not actually played a 5e session - yet. I actually own most of the books (non adventure publications) and I love the concepts. I think that 5e is one of the best systems for homebrew right now, simply because it's very easy to work with the relatively light systems.
Is it the best? No - but I haven't found a system that is yet. But it's very good.
