We're being lead into through one of the biggest political changes of the 21st century by an incompetent leadership. There has been no meaningful discussion around what the populous want from Brexit, it’s devolved into a political slap fight (arguably it started as one).
I don't like how It's caused distrust and polarisation among communities. Not exclusively towards the non-white population but also among families and friends. >"They voted leave/remain, they're a [insult/stereotype]". This in turn has taken the spotlight away from more pressing issues facing our country like the NHS, homelessness, mental health and public transport. Brexit at times feels like a distraction from our crumbling society. It worries me that we are cutting ourselves off from the EU when our country is in a such a dire state. We do not have the infrastructure, industry or leadership to go forward with Brexit.
I would much rather postpone leaving the EU until we have solid strategy, with input from people around the country, including experts from leading industries. Once a strategy has been formed we could then vote:
- Yes, propose this to the eu and negotiate.
- No, let's rework the strategy.
- Lets remain in the EU.
It might take a few referendums, lots of money and would never happen in the real word. It's the level of scrutiny needed when we are making a decision this big that affects so many people.
At this point in time I just want to bury my head in the sand a die a peaceful death.

sir In the UK Halloween isn't as big as it in the US. It's mainly an excuse to dress up as a slutty vegtable and get wankered. Then again we don't need much of an excuse to get rat arsed. In the UK Halloween isn't as big as it in the US. It's mainly an excuse to dress up as a slutty vegtable and get wankered. Comment on Hundreds of migrant children quietly moved to a tent camp on the Texas border in ~news
sir Have other countries spoken out about America's treatment of migrants? Unless i've missed something it appears the international community have turned a blind eye.Have other countries spoken out about America's treatment of migrants? I remembered the first three but my memory is also awful. Then again I only spent short time looking at them. Maybe it's works better when there's context?
I'm dyslexic so was expecting it to be really hard to read. Strangley I found it supprisingly easy...
