While I’m from America, not France, the biggest drawback being perception coheres with my expectation. Even despite that, I’ve so often been pleased with the quality:price ratio. People love to dunk on box wine, and consequently I have a great time defending it as a killer value.

So cool to hear about the tanking stuff for long-distance. Modern shipping is just bananas sometimes. Amazing.

    Thanks for the response.

Can you speak a little bit about medium-to higher-quality wines in box? Anything you feel relevant/interesting, from where the box packaging becomes problematic, to what the best box wines on the market are.

It’s a DNS-based load balancer (“Global Site Load Balancer”). It does healthchecking of various endpoints you tell it to, and will update DNS based on the results of the health checks. Right now I’ve got weighted round robin implemented, but will be expanding into geolocation-based soon.

As far as I can tell, it’s the only GLSB that is all of: open source, supports IPv6/AAAA records, supports DNSSEC, is dynamically reconfigurable and multi-user.

Anyhow, just started closed beta this week. Nervous and excited!

I feel like I’m in this comment! Agree with every single point. Would also add that habitually skipping breakfast (at least for lengths of time) can be good too.

I recommend LotR as well. Partially, simply because it left such an impression on me from a young age and I just love it.

But more specifically to OP’s points:

    • confidence
    • development
    • perseverance
    • ethics

Other themes I think are important for character formation:

    • justice
    • the need for temperance and moderation instead of power and domination
    • righteousness and compassion
    • tender and loving relations between men (I emphasize this because it’s less commonly found)
    • sense of beauty and reverence

There are so many other things that could be added to this list, but I’ll leave it there for now.

Thanks so much for pointing out HFBoards. I'm very tired of /r/hockey on reddit. This looks active and engaging.

Seriously. People will write or say stuff like this, then go get into their car (car crashes accidents are the third leading cause of death in the US). And they won’t even think twice.

Or, heck, they’ll continue eating the American Standard Diet (ASD). The connection between that and heart disease is doubtlessly much better established than what this article hand-waves at. Heart disease is of course the leading cause of death in the US.
