WWOOF'd in Japan the past spring for just 5 days with my sister, we had a great time! The property was in a rural/suburban town and accessible by train. The work was lots of weeding and vegtable prep and some garden work, it wasn't intense or excessive. We often worked along with the farmer.
Family was the farmer, wife, grandparent, and 1 kid. They were wonderful people and we integrated well, granted we can speak some Japanese which helped. Wife cooked breakfast and dinner for us every day despite working another full time job.
Overall had a great experience, and lucky to wwoof there for our first time!

Right now I don't have the luxury of bookshelf space, so the books worth keeping to me are those I've read and had some significant connection with or those that had any emotional, developmental or educational impact throughout my life. Most notably: The BFG, The Phantom Tollbooth, Hatchet, Holes, The Ear The Eye and The Arm, Coraline, The Mysterious Benedict Society, Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, Jane Eyre, The Book Thief, Animal Farm, Fun Home, The Omnivores Dilemma, Flow, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Hitchhiker's Guide, Into the Wild, Educated, Dreams from my Father, Maus...and others.

I hold onto books as a will-read, but they're not necessarily must-keeps until they've been read.

I have no space for such reference books now but eventually I would love to own that $1000 world encyclopedia series, but if not that a good substitute would be just like those science series of zoology, botany, human anatomy, astronomy, geology etc. reference books with detailed photos and shit.
Also "Art of" reference books of my favorite movies/shows would be nice.
Oh must add on: a world atlas!

As for the squares I do already have throw pillows... Even if I used up a couple, there's quite a stack of them, so ideally would like to use them for a larger project all at once. Just will have to sit on them for a bit.

I don't have that many before photos but just imagine a heap of those free t-shirts, or jeans, or off-cuts of fabric (ie. <1yd pieces), I have a collection of zippers, buttons and hardware I cut out from clothes/old bags before throwing away. I rarely buy new supplies as I've been hoarding collecting usable fabric/clothes/hardware for years...and well the point is to avoid new materials.
Anyway it feels weird to link back to posts on reddit, so here's a short compilation of stuff I've made over the last several years.
Currently figuring out what to do about these denim squares I quilted together. Thought it could work as a rug, but it does not look great in that direction so I'll have to pivot on that.
